Book review: Pet Purpose by Xanthe Wyse.
I have just finished this book by Xanthe Wyse. It had me reading late throughtout the night as it's a real page turner.

This book is quite close to home. The main character has bipolar and also PTSD. The story takes you on the main character Heni's life until adulthood.

It is very real and at times made me sad because this was a journey where the main character experienced stigma not only towards having bipolar but speaking out about abuse. If you are living with bipolar or trying to pick up the pieces of abuse you will most certainly identify with this book. Stigma and people's unwillingness to accept our truth about abuse is all too familiar.

Warning though it can be raw and at times triggering. However the courage it took for the author to write this story using her own experiences has to be commended.

I am glad Xanthe Wyse found her voice through telling Heni's story. The outer cover is absolutely beautiful and one of the author's own art pieces.

You can purchase this book on Amazon. I know I won't be forgetting this story for a long time. Highly recommend reading and following the author's account @bipolar_courage
